I have been at Sacred Heart since 2013 when I was lucky enough to start my student teaching assignment in 1st grade with Ms. Corey and then moved to the preschool. It was very fortunate that  I ended up staying for the remainder of that school year. Then, I was offered a teaching position in 3rd grade where I have been since. I have learned a lot in my time here at Sacred Heart, but the thing that brings me the most joy and satisfaction as a teacher, parent, and parishioner here is the sense of community I get to see every day. I am amazed by the hard work and compassion I see in my coworkers, the dedication to faith and Catholic education in the parents that send their children here, and my students (past and present) who grow closer to God by living their virtues. I am truly blessed to be able to be a part of this community. 

I have a few favorite Saints, but my favorite is St. Augustine and I decided to include this quote from him because I believe it to be very true. "Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you." - St. Augustine
