I have been teaching fifth grade at Sacred Heart for the past five years. Fifth grade is an amazing age! Fifth graders are inquisitive and are excellent at asking some very deep questions. I love teaching about the Sacraments, fractions and decimals. The conversations that get brought up during novel studies make me think more deeply about my own strengths and weaknesses. Fifth graders inspire me to see things in new light and to grow my own faith!
To list one favorite saint is a tough task. My "top 2" favorite saints would be St. Gianna and St. Monica. St. Monica's example of patience and hope, and St. Gianna's of humility and love encourage me to remember that God has me in his hands. That being said, I am always on the lookout to learn more about any Saint that can inspire me!
