Last year was my first year as part of the Sacred Heart family and it was one of the best years I have had as an educator. The Sacred Heart Family is indeed very special. I have been an educator for over 22 years, teaching mostly Middle School Mathematics. Although I struggled in the subject of mathematics in middle and high school, I had an amazing professor at Florissant Valley Community College and he changed the course of my life and showed me how exciting numbers can be. I made a vow to myself that when I became a mathematics teacher, that I would share my love for mathematics with my students and hopefully change a few lives.
I am not Catholic, but I am a firm believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ and I accepted God into my heart when I was a young adult. My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, this passage reminds me of who is in control of my life and that it is NOT ME! I love to dance, read, watch football (Cowboys Nation), watch hockey (Let’s Go Blues), and watch baseball games (Let’s Go Cards). Most of all, I love being able to share the love of God in my classroom (Paradise).
